
It is known that you have to exercise at least three times a week for 30 minutes or more per workout to make a difference in the appearance of your body. The best way to get into shape is be consistent in your workout. Get plenty of rest between workouts. Eat a sensible diet. Although, I am not much of watch-what-I-eat type of guy, I do make note what I eat and how it affects my body and I adjust my diet to the body type I am aiming for.
My regular routine for the past 3 months was workout Monday, Wednesday, Friday. I would do cardio the first 5-20 minutes and hit the weights for another 30-45 minutes with a 5 minute cool down at the end. I would try to change it up every week. Working heavy one week. Light the next. Workout a couple of body parts per workout to circuit training, moving from one exercise to the next with little rest in between sets, the whole body.
The results of this approach to exercise is that I have more muscle than I had before. My body is in check. I don't have an overly big belly, and I have a body that I am pleased with.
